Tour Overview

Embark on a delightful journey through Waiheke Island with Ananda Tours, a family-owned company that has been introducing travelers to this enchanting locale for over 24 years. Our tour showcases the island’s rich culinary and viticultural heritage through visits to three distinct vineyards, where you will savor a variety of local gourmet products paired expertly with wines. Expect to taste fresh oysters from Te Matuku Bay, locally produced olive oil, and the sweet touch of Waiheke honey, each enhancing the flavors of the wines you sample.

One highlight of the tour is a visit to a unique Spanish-influenced vineyard, renowned not only for its excellent wines but also for its striking Gaudi-inspired mosaics. Here, indulge in a family-style lunch that mirrors the informal yet refined spirit of tapas dining, with dishes designed to complement the vineyard's offerings.

Another memorable stop is Oneroa Village, a vibrant hub where the island’s artistic and commercial life converges. Take a leisurely stroll along the serene Oneroa Beach, or explore local boutiques and culinary spots. Treat yourself to a scoop of artisan gelato from Island Gelato, or perhaps sample more local wines at The Waiheke Wine Centre. If time allows, relax in a café or bar that overlooks the bay, providing a perfect pause before your journey continues.

This tour is an excellent opportunity for those keen to explore the lesser-known aspects of New Zealand’s wine culture, set against the backdrop of Waiheke’s stunning landscapes and the warm hospitality of its people. Join us to discover why both locals and visitors continue to be charmed by Waiheke Island.
