Small-group Auckland day tour visiting Mt Eden, Muriwai Beach and Devonport, with hotel pickup, set menu lunch, ferry or guided return.

Tour Overview

See Auckland in a single day on a small group tour that moves from the city’s key landmarks to the wild west coast and the North Shore. After selected hotel pickups, the journey begins at Te Toka o Apihai Te Kawau on the waterfront, then follows Tamaki Drive with views across the harbour and volcanic landscape.

You’ll visit Auckland Domain, the city’s oldest park, where you can see the Auckland War Memorial Museum, tropical gardens, and ponds, passing through Parnell along the way. The route continues through Newmarket to Mt Eden, Auckland’s highest natural point, where a short walk to the summit reveals the crater of this dormant volcano and wide views over the city. The city section also travels through Karangahape Road and Queen Street, finishing beneath the Sky Tower.

From there, cross the Harbour Bridge and head west to Hallertau Brewery for a set menu lunch, with craft beer available at your own cost. At Muriwai Beach, walk on the black sand coast and learn about the area’s geology and wildlife. A short clifftop walk offers coastal views and, depending on the season, a chance to see the largest mainland gannet colony in the North Island.

Later, travel to Devonport and North Head, where military tunnels and harbour views add another layer to the day, before returning by ferry or guided drive.
