Tour Overview

Leave the city's hustle and embark on a serene journey to the heart of Kumeu Wine Country, where Auckland’s wine heritage comes alive amidst a backdrop of coastal vistas. This carefully curated afternoon tour not only introduces you to award-winning wines but also connects you with the deep-rooted winemaking traditions of the region.

Begin your exploration at Soljans Vineyard, where you will enjoy a delightful lunch at their sunlit winery restaurant. The menu features Mediterranean-inspired dishes with a local twist, making use of the region's abundant seasonal produce. Here, sample a selection of Soljans' celebrated wines, including their expertly crafted methode traditionelle sparkling wines, a testament to their winemaking prowess.

Next, you will visit Coopers Creek vineyard, known for its innovative spirit and a wide array of varietals sourced from across New Zealand’s top regions. The tasting session here offers a deeper understanding of the diverse wine profiles that New Zealand has to offer, guided by knowledgeable staff who share insights into each blend’s unique characteristics.

The tour takes a scenic turn as you approach Muriwai Beach, where the rugged coastline and dramatic black sands provide a striking contrast to the lush vineyard settings. Although the nearby gannet colony is currently inaccessible, the area remains a spectacular spot to appreciate the natural beauty and the powerful presence of the Tasman Sea.

Conclude your tour at West Brook Winery, where the tranquility of the vineyard with its duck pond and picnic areas offers a perfect setting for the final tasting. West Brook's wines, celebrated for their distinct varietal character and regional authenticity, provide a fitting end to a day of sensory delights and relaxed discovery.
