Tour Overview

Take on New Zealand’s highest tandem skydive, up to 18,000 ft, with Skydive Auckland. After a quick sign-in at West Auckland Airport (73 Green Road, Parakai), you’ll watch a short briefing video, store your belongings in lockers, and suit up with all provided gear (jumpsuit, harness, hat, goggles). Then board the plane for an approximately 20-minute scenic climb with views over both coasts, Waiheke and Great Barrier Islands, and on clear days as far as Ruapehu and Taranaki.

When the door opens at altitude, freefall at over 200 km/h for up to 85 unforgettable seconds before the canopy opens for a serene ~5-minute parachute ride back to base. After landing, your photo/video package (optional extra) is typically ready to view in about 20 minutes. Free return transport from Auckland City is available subject to availability (pickups from the Sky Tower or selected hotels); on-site parking is free if you self-drive.

Good to know: approximately 3-hour total experience; mobile or paper tickets accepted; offered in English, Chinese, and Spanish. Wheelchair accessible with all areas and surfaces accessible; suitable for most fitness levels. Weight limit 100 kg. Under-18s require a parent/guardian; 18,000 ft jumps are limited to ages 12+ only. Weather can affect operations - call one hour prior for confirmation and easy rescheduling if needed.

What To Expect

Upon arrival you will sign in on an iPad, and then be called to our briefing room to watch a short video which will show you what to expect throughout your experience. There are lockers onsite to store your personal belongings. We have pens onsite so you can write a message on your hands! Then it is time to meet your tandem instructor. You will be provided with a protective jumpsuit, harness, hat and goggles. Your instructor will start your photo and video package on the ground. Now it is time to walk to the plane. After boarding the plane you will enjoy an amazing scenic flight for approximately 20 minutes. Once you reach your chosen altitude the door will open and the adrenalin will be pumping. Freefall for up to 85 insane seconds at a speed of 200+ km/hr. After freefall you will enjoy the serenity of a beautiful parachute ride for approximately 5 minutes. As soon as you land safely back at our base you will want to do it all over again! After approximately 20 minutes your photos and video will be ready and you can view it on our screens.

We are based at West Auckland Airport, 73 Green Road, Parakai, West Auckland. Be sure to enter 'Parakai' in your sat nav as there are several Green Roads in Auckland. Your booking time is your arrival time.
