Kitekite Falls
At Kitekite Falls, you will witness one of Auckland’s most stunning multi-tiered waterfalls, nestled deep within the lush Waitākere rainforest. The journey begins with a scenic bush walk, where they’ll be surrounded by towering kauri and nikau palm trees, vibrant ferns, and the sounds of native birds like tūī and kererū.
As you approach, the cascading waters of Kitekite Falls come into view, tumbling down 40 meters (130 feet) over six picturesque tiers into a crystal-clear swimming hole below. The scene is serene and breathtaking, perfect for capturing photos or simply taking in the tranquil atmosphere.

Karekare Falls
Karekare Waterfalls is a great option for guests who prefer to experience nature with minimal walking or limited mobility. The waterfall is one of the most accessible natural attractions near Auckland, with the viewing area located just a short and easy walk from the car park. We always take our guests’ comfort and mobility preferences into consideration before visiting each location. Our guide will drop you as close as possible to the entrance and assist if needed, ensuring you can still witness the beauty of the waterfall without having to do a long or strenuous hike. For many travelers, especially families and senior visitors, the experience of seeing a stunning waterfall is more enjoyable than undertaking a difficult trek. Maungawhau / Mount Eden
On our way back we will go up the Mount Eden summit (Maungawhau), you will stand atop the highest natural point in Auckland, offering 360-degree panoramic views of the city, its harbors, and surrounding volcanic landscapes. As you reach the summit, you will be greeted by the sight of a massive volcanic crater, 50 meters deep, a striking reminder of Auckland’s volcanic origins.
From this vantage point, you will enjoy sweeping views of downtown Auckland, the Sky Tower, Waitematā Harbour, and beyond—an ideal spot for capturing unforgettable photos. Your guide will share the Māori history of Maungawhau, a sacred site once home to a thriving Māori pā (fortified village), with visible earth terraces still present today.
