Starting at the Goat Island Dive and Snorkel Center, our experienced staff will equip you with all the necessary gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit, and weight belt.

Your journey begins with a short 3km drive from the center to the reserve in your own vehicle. Here, you will meet your instructor, who will introduce advanced snorkeling techniques like duck diving, ear equalization, and snorkel clearing. Emphasis is placed on the correct freediving breathing practices, ensuring your comfort and safety underwater.

The session kicks off with a comprehensive safety briefing, coupled with insights into the history of Goat Island and the diverse marine life you will encounter. The hands-on experience in the water allows you to put these new skills into practice, aiming to increase your underwater time and comfort.
