Cathedral Cove Day Trip from Auckland

Spend a full day exploring the Coromandel’s coastal highlights on a small-group tour from Auckland. Begin with pickup from your central hotel or meet at 148 Quay Street, then travel by air-conditioned minibus to Tairua. Take a short guided climb to the summit of Mount Paku for sweeping views of the coastline. Continue to Hahei for a 1.5 hour return walk to Cathedral Cove, with time to enjoy the beach and explore nearby coves. Round out the day at Hot Water Beach, where warm spring water rises through the sand. Timing at Hot Water Beach is planned around the tides. Lunch is at a boutique café at Hot Water Beach or Hahei at your own expense. Return to Auckland in the early evening. Total duration is about 10 hours.
