Tour Overview

Embark on a fascinating journey from the bustling heart of Auckland towards the serene and historic landscapes of the Waikato region. As we begin the drive south, we'll traverse the distinct Bombay Hills, a modest yet significant range that marks the transition from Auckland to the pastoral beauty of Waikato. This geographical landmark offers a moment to reflect on the unique natural and cultural tapestry of New Zealand.

After a brief stop to enjoy a quality coffee and refresh ourselves, we'll continue towards Te Awamutu. Known affectionately as the 'Rose Capital of New Zealand,' this charming town comes alive with vibrant colors from November to April, when over 2000 rose bushes near the visitor centre burst into bloom. It's a delightful sight that prepares us for the natural wonders ahead.

The highlight of our tour awaits at the Waitomo Caves, where adventure seekers will find their thrill with the 5-hour Black Abyss tour. Imagine abseiling into the shadowy depths of Ruakuri Cave, ziplining past ethereal glowworms, and navigating through ancient waterways on a tube. This hands-on exploration is not just about adrenaline; it's an intimate encounter with one of New Zealand's most mesmerizing underground ecosystems.

As we conclude our day's adventure and head back to Auckland, you'll carry with you the vivid memories of a journey well spent, from the rolling hills of Bombay to the subterranean wonders of Waitomo. This tour offers more than just sightseeing; it's a comprehensive experience of the natural beauty and thrilling escapades New Zealand has to offer.
