From Auckland’s Downtown Ferry Terminal, sail from pier 11 and 12 at 10am to Waiheke Island. The service also offers departures from Auckland Ferry Terminal at 9am, 10:15am or 11am from pier 13/14, with return sailings from pier 3 at Matiatia Ferry Terminal at 4:30pm or 5:15pm. On weekdays, a 5pm departure from pier 3 in Waiheke Island’s Matiatia Ferry Terminal returns to Auckland.
This service suits both same-day return travel and flexible return planning, with the option to book your return sailing up to three weeks from your departure date. If your plans do not fit these scheduled times, the Waiheke Walk-up ferry is available as the primary passenger ferry service, with high-frequency sailings to Waiheke Island throughout the year.

The Waiheke Walk Up ferry will depart from piers 13 and 14 at the Auckland Ferry Terminal. Boarding will open up to 20 minutes before your booked departure time.
Please arrive at least 20 minutes before your booked sailing. During summer and on public holidays, Waiheke Island gets busy, so we recommend allowing at least 30 minutes at these times. Your Waiheke Reserve ticket is valid for the sailing you booked. If you miss your sailing, your ticket will be valid for our Waiheke Walk-up ferry for one year from the date of your booked sailing, subject to availability. Return sailings can be booked up to three weeks after your outbound trip. Auckland departure/arrival: Piers 13 and 14, Downtown Ferry Terminal, behind the Ferry Building on Quay Street, opposite Britomart Transport Centre. Waiheke departure/arrival: Pier 3, Matiatia Ferry Terminal.
