Half-day small group Auckland tour with hotel or cruise pickup, crossing Auckland Harbour Bridge and visiting North Head Historic Reserve and Mount Eden.

Tour Overview

This small group half day tour is designed for travellers who want a clear introduction to Auckland without taking up a full day. With a maximum of 11 people, it offers a more personal pace and the chance to interact closely with your guide. Round trip transport is included, with pick up available from cruise ships and hotels around the CBD.

The route focuses on several of Auckland’s well known city sights and viewpoints. Cross the Auckland Harbour Bridge over Waitemata Harbour and see its distinctive extension, along with Westhaven Marina, the largest yacht marina in the Southern Hemisphere, with wide views back toward the city.

The tour also includes historic and volcanic landmarks. In Auckland’s oldest town, you can view heritage houses and heritage buildings, including one highlighted heritage home. At North Head Historic Reserve, one of Auckland’s volcanic mountains at the entrance to Waitemata Harbour, you can enter tunnels and stand beside cannons installed when the site was fortified in the late 1800s.

From Mount Eden, Auckland’s highest volcanic mountain, take in a broad view of the city from the summit. Depending on tour arrangements, visits may also include the Auckland Domain Wintergardens and Holy Trinity Cathedral, beside St. Mary’s.
